KEY INFORMATION

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I MAKE CONTACT?

After you have been in touch via email or the contact form, we can arrange a first free 15 min session by phone or online.  This session would be spent exploring what has brought you to therapy.  We can also talk more about the ways I work and whether this fits with what you need and want.  If you choose to schedule subsequent sessions, they would be 50 mins in length and would usually take place weekly.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WOULD I NEED TO HAVE?

You can choose to have sessions for as long as feels helpful to you.  Some people find that six sessions meets their needs, while others require a year or more.  We can review the timeframe as the work progresses to ensure the end of your therapy is well supported.

It could be that you have specific goals for your therapy, or you might be unsure what is causing your distress.  In either case we can regularly check in on how you feel the work is meeting your needs.

DO YOU WORK ONLINE OR IN-PERSON?

I offer in-person and online sessions, subject to availability.

In-person sessions take place in three locations:

A private residence in Bromley Heath (BS16): Sessions take place in a comfortable and confidential room.  Please note that this room is up one flight of stairs.  Off road parking is available and bikes can be left in a secure garage.

The Harbourside Practice Talking Therapy Rooms: 3 Redcliffe Parade East, Redcliffe, Bristol, BS1 6SW - view on Google maps.

Redcliffe Parade car park is opposite the rooms (£2.50 per hour), as well as a bike rack.  Other car parks are near by.

Bristol Therapy Rooms: 10-12 Picton Street, Bristol, BS6 5QA - view on google maps

There are secure cycle racks, accessible through a code-access gate.  Metered on-street parking is available nearby.

Accessibility: Please note that all rooms are up one or two flights of stairs

Research suggests that online therapy can be just as effective as face to face therapy and I follow BACP guidelines when working in this way. If you chose online sessions, it's important to ensure you have a comfortable and confidential space to talk.  I use Google Meet to host sessions.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Sessions cost £55 for 50 mins.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY SESSIONS?

Clients will be invoiced a month in advance and payments can be made via bank transfer.

Any fee adjustments for the current month will be applied to the following month.  If our work ends mid-way through the month, you will be reimbursed for any fee adjustments and/or unused sessions.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

I ask that clients give at least 48 hours' notice if they are unable to attend their session.  If you do not attend, or cancel without notice, you will still be charged in full for your session.  Rescheduling is only offered if 48 hours notice is given and is subject to availability.

If a session is missed for three weeks or more, I will re-open this time for new clients.
